PARIS — Geely Auto Group announced that combined European sales of its Geely, Lynk & Co and Zeekr brands exceeded 10,000 units in September, the first time the Chinese group has crossed the five-figure monthly threshold in the region. The Geely European sales milestone was revealed as the group made its debut appearance at the Paris Motor Show 2026, which opened October 12 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Geely European sales momentum reflects two decades of building a presence on the continent, now accelerating with a wave of new electrified models. The three brands cover distinct segments: Geely serves the mainstream market, Lynk & Co targets premium buyers and Zeekr plays in luxury. Together they sold 2,235,481 vehicles globally from January to September 2026, making Europe an increasingly important growth engine. ## Geely European sales cross a milestone month September 2026 marked the first month in which Geely European sales across the three brands topped 10,000 units in the European Union. The Geely brand now operates in 27 European countries with more than 450 sales outlets, Lynk & Co covers 25 countries with over 140 outlets, and Zeekr has expanded into 22 European countries. Lynk & Co is also leveraging Volvo Cars' existing sales and service network — both companies sit within the wider Geely holding — to broaden its European reach. ## Three brands drive Geely European sales growth The Paris Motor Show 2026 marked the first time Geely Auto Group has exhibited as a group, showcasing new energy vehicles across mainstream, premium and luxury segments. The Geely Monjaro EM-i, a flagship D-segment plug-in hybrid SUV with a dedicated 1.5TD hybrid engine and dual-motor system, made its European debut alongside the global unveiling of the Geely Galaxy ZJ700. Lynk & Co gave the Lynk & Co 07 GT its European premiere — the brand's first plug-in hybrid sport touring model, shaped by its "The Next Day" design philosophy. The Lynk & Co 07 GT blends shooting-brake elegance with fastback dynamics. Zeekr presented the European motor show debut of the Zeekr 9X, a six-seat flagship designed in Gothenburg that embodies the brand's "A New Class of Luxury" vision. The Zeekr 9X is available to order now, with deliveries scheduled from January 2027, while the new Zeekr 7X follows in the first quarter of 2027. ## Paris debuts fuel the next leg of growth Fresh from the Paris Motor Show 2026, the group continues to invest in regional design, engineering, sales and service, with established operations in Gothenburg, Frankfurt and the United Kingdom. Geely European sales growth is supported by that local footprint — built over 20 years — which helps the brands navigate EU scrutiny of Chinese automakers. Competition in Europe is intensifying as Chinese groups race to localize. Geely's multi-brand strategy gives it an edge: mainstream buyers, premium seekers and luxury customers each get a tailored offering, all sharing group technology. ## What the milestone means for U.S. car shoppers American buyers will not see these models in showrooms anytime soon. Like other Chinese automakers, Geely faces prohibitive U.S. tariffs that keep its brands out of the American market. But the Geely European sales story matters in the United States too: the scale and speed of Chinese expansion in Europe is reshaping global competition, pressuring Detroit automakers to accelerate their own electrified lineups. The Geely European sales trajectory suggests the group's 10,000-unit month was a floor, not a ceiling. For now, U.S. shoppers can only watch as European families choose among a widening menu of affordable plug-in hybrids — a menu shaped in Gothenburg and Hangzhou, not Detroit.
