Stocks to Watch: Tech Mahindra, IIFL Finance Lead Q2 Rush

Indian equities opened Friday's session with stock-specific action in sharp focus, as a wave of second-quarter results put Tech Mahindra, IIFL Finance, Persistent Systems, Angel One, Sri Lotus Developers and Solar Industries firmly on investors' stocks to watch lists. The IT major Tech Mahindra emerged as the day's standout after reporting a 33 per cent jump in quarterly profit, while lenders, brokerages and a Mumbai realtor added to the buzz on Dalal Street. Tech Mahindra shares rallied as much as 7 per cent to an intraday high of Rs 1,763.98 on the BSE, topping the Nifty 50 gainers even as the Sensex and Nifty traded nearly 0.3 per cent lower. The Nifty IT index gained close to 2 per cent, with Infosys and Wipro advancing more than 3.6 per cent each and TCS rising about 3 per cent. Broader market breadth on the BSE stayed negative, with 1,830 shares advancing against 1,535 declining — making the day's most tracked stocks to watch all the more conspicuous. ## Stocks to Watch: Tech Mahindra Steals the Show The Tech Mahindra Q2 results beat expectations on almost every parameter. Consolidated net profit rose 32.7 per cent year on year to Rs 1,585.6 crore for the July-September quarter, up from Rs 1,194.5 crore a year ago, while revenue from operations grew 15.6 per cent to Rs 16,180.2 crore. New deal wins stood at $1,023 million in total contract value, up 25.4 per cent — the fourth consecutive quarter of billion-dollar-plus wins. CEO Mohit Joshi said the deal momentum reflected the strength of customer relationships as the company marked its 40th anniversary. The board also declared an interim dividend of Rs 15 per share and approved a 1:1 bonus issue, subject to shareholder approval — news that gave investors scanning stocks to watch another reason to cheer. Brokerages were quick to flag the positives. Nomura expects Tech Mahindra to deliver above-peer growth in FY27, supported by the ramp-up of two large telecom deals won in the second half of FY26, while Nuvama highlighted four straight quarters of deal wins exceeding $1 billion. The Tech Mahindra Q2 showing has put the company's margin trajectory and AI-led productivity gains firmly in focus for the rest of the fiscal. ## Stocks to Watch: IIFL Finance, Angel One Lead Lenders IIFL Finance also featured prominently among stocks to watch after reporting standalone profit after tax of Rs 548.53 crore for Q2 FY27, up sharply from Rs 210.72 crore in the year-ago quarter. The strong print reflects the continued momentum in retail credit demand across the country. Angel One, meanwhile, reported a 58.2 per cent jump in consolidated Q2 net profit to Rs 335 crore from Rs 211.7 crore, with revenue up 18.7 per cent to Rs 1,427 crore — though its shares slipped about 2 per cent as investors booked profits after the Angel One results. Together, the lender and Angel One results underline the resilience of India's retail financial services, even as market participants stay alert to credit costs in unsecured segments. ## Stocks to Watch: Lotus Developers Hits 52-Week High Sri Lotus Developers and Realty touched a 52-week high after reporting a 77.9 per cent surge in consolidated Q2 net profit to Rs 82.1 crore, with revenue up 52.5 per cent to Rs 268.6 crore — a performance that kept the recently listed Mumbai realtor on every stocks to watch list.
