DS Automobiles has unveiled the DS F3VER concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, previewing the French premium brand's future design language with an ambitious compact electric showcase. The DS F3VER concept measures 4.19 metres long, 1.84 metres wide and 1.46 metres tall, riding on a 2.70-metre wheelbase with a 400-litre boot.
DS F3VER Concept Debuts in Paris
The Paris Motor Show reveal positions the DS F3VER concept as a statement of intent for DS, the Stellantis-owned premium marque. Finished in Cosmic Blue, a colour that shifts between blue and violet depending on the light, the car pairs geometric wheels with champagne-coloured accents for a distinctly avant-garde look.
At the front, the electric concept introduces a new face for the brand, with a vertically positioned DS logo and Y-shaped lighting. At the rear, a digital DS logo sits in the centre of the bumper, accompanied by 16 LED panels mounted on a lightweight magnesium structure. The Y-shaped lighting gives the car an unmistakable signature, day and night.
Compact Dimensions, Big Ambitions
DS says the DS F3VER concept is designed to offer the practicality of a larger vehicle despite its relatively compact footprint. The company describes the car as having a class-leading electric range, though it has not disclosed a figure or the size of the battery. For a compact electric concept, packaging efficiency is the whole point, and the 400-litre boot suggests everyday usability has not been sacrificed for style.
The rear light installation deserves a second look. Sixteen LED panels arranged on a featherweight magnesium structure can play configurable animations, turning the back of the car into a canvas. It is show-car theatre, but it also hints at how seriously DS takes light as a brand identifier, alongside the illuminated vertical logo up front.
Personalisation Takes Centre Stage
Customisation is a key theme. The decorative roof strip can be personalised, and an extended two-tone paint scheme lets owners stamp their identity on the car. DS is clearly betting that individual expression will matter as much to electric buyers as range figures do, and the concept's configurable details suggest a future where software-defined lighting is part of the options list.
The Cosmic Blue finish is more than a paint choice. The colour shifts between blue and violet as light moves across the bodywork, while geometric wheels with champagne-coloured accents complete the look. Together with the personalised roof strip and two-tone scheme, the details underline how far DS wants to push individual expression on future models.
Design Intelligence Simplifies Construction
The DS F3VER concept also introduces what the brand calls its "Design Intelligence" approach, which aims to simplify vehicle construction by reducing the number of components. Integrated headlights and daytime running lights, single-piece bumpers and the removal of additional plastic trim around the wheel arches and lower body all serve that goal. Fewer parts mean simpler assembly, lower weight and, potentially, easier repairs.
DS says it is also using AI-assisted design tools to speed up development and evaluate different design proposals, and the Design Intelligence philosophy could shape how future production models are engineered. If the approach delivers, it may influence not just how DS cars look, but how efficiently they can be built.
No Production Plans for the DS F3VER Concept Yet
For now, the DS F3VER concept remains exactly that. A concept, with no production plans or launch timeline announced. Enthusiasts hoping to see the DS F3VER concept reach showrooms will have to wait, but its ideas on lighting, personalisation and simplified construction are likely to filter into the Stellantis brand's future road cars. Concepts like this rarely predict a single model. Instead, they set the visual and technical agenda, and on that measure the Paris debut did its job. For enthusiasts following global design trends, the F3VER offers a glimpse of where premium electric design is heading.
