RRB ALP exam city slip 2026 out for CBT 1

The Railway Recruitment Boards have released the RRB ALP exam city slip for the first computer based test under CEN 01/2026. Candidates who applied for Assistant Loco Pilot posts can now log in and see the city where they will take the test, along with the date and shift. The slip has been released in stages, linked to the date of each candidate's test, so not every applicant could see it on the same day.

The RRB ALP exam city slip is an information document. It is not an entry pass for the examination hall. Candidates will still need the final e-call letter, which carries the exact venue address and reporting instructions, along with a valid original photo identity proof. The boards have made that distinction clear in their notices, because candidates sometimes mistake the city slip for the admit card.

What the RRB ALP exam city slip shows

The RRB ALP exam city slip shows the candidate's name and registration details, the allotted exam city, the exam date and the shift timing. It also helps candidates plan travel and stay, which matters when the allotted city is far from home. Candidates should check the details as soon as the slip opens for their date and report any mismatch through the helpdesk channels given on the regional board site.

The CBT 1 exam is scheduled for 3, 4 and 5 November 2026. Reports on the recruitment put the number of applicants at 840,944 for 11,127 posts. The CBT 1 exam has 75 questions and runs for 60 minutes, covering mathematics, mental ability, general science and general awareness. One third of a mark is deducted for each wrong answer, and scores are normalised across shifts.

The release pattern follows the exam date. The slip for candidates whose test falls on 3 November opened on 24 October, the slip for 4 November candidates opened on 25 October, and the slip for 5 November candidates opened on 26 October. A candidate who logs in before the release date for their test will see that the slip is not live yet for their application. That message does not mean the application was rejected.

How to download the RRB ALP exam city slip

To download the slip, candidates should visit rrb.digialm.com or their regional board site, open the link for the RRB ALP exam city slip under CEN 01/2026, and log in with their registration number and date of birth. After entering the security code, the screen shows the allotted city, date and shift. Candidates should save a copy and note the shift timing for travel planning.

The RRB admit card, or e-call letter, follows a separate timetable. Under the pattern published for this recruitment, the e-call letter becomes available four days before each candidate's exam date. That means candidates with a 3 November test can download it from 31 October, candidates with a 4 November test from 1 November, and candidates with a 5 November test from 2 November. The RRB admit card must be printed and carried to the centre.

Assistant Loco Pilot vacancies under this recruitment total 11,127 across the railway network. The selection process after CBT 1 includes CBT 2, a computer based aptitude test for eligible candidates, document verification and a medical examination. Candidates who clear CBT 1 will move to the next stage as per the board's shortlisting rules. For now, the immediate task for applicants is to check the city slip, plan travel, and keep the login details ready for the RRB admit card when it opens. Candidates should rely only on rrb.digialm.com, rrbapply.gov.in and regional board sites for links, and should not enter login details on other sites that claim to offer the slip. The RRB ALP exam city slip remains the first check for travel planning, and the RRB ALP exam city slip for each date opens about ten days before that test. Assistant Loco Pilot vacancies in this drive will be filled through the stages that follow the RRB ALP exam city slip stage, starting with CBT 1 in November.
