Global luxury watch and jewellery brand Jacob and Co has entered Punjab's real estate market in partnership with Chandigarh-based developer GB Realty. The two companies will build a branded residential project on Airport Road in Mohali, with a planned investment of Rs 2,400 crore to Rs 2,500 crore. The Jacob and Co Mohali project is the luxury brand's first housing venture in Punjab and GB Realty's first move into branded homes.
GB Realty announced the Jacob and Co Mohali project on 26 October 2026. The project will come up on a nine-acre parcel on Mohali Airport Road that GB Realty bought for about Rs 550 crore through a local authority auction, according to media reports. Land accounts for more than Rs 1,000 crore of the total planned spend, with the rest set aside for construction, development and related costs. The developer has not yet disclosed the number of homes, unit sizes, prices, launch date or possession schedule for the Jacob and Co Mohali homes.
What the Jacob and Co Mohali project will include
Jacob and Co will oversee design for the five-tower development. Three towers will carry the Jacob and Co name, while two will be branded as Salman Khan Residences. The Salman Khan Residences towers will sit alongside the three Jacob and Co towers in the same five-tower scheme. The project is being described as Punjab's first branded residences development, and media reports call it the first such project in an Indian tier-2 city. In branded residences, the brand usually sets design standards and the look of shared spaces, while the developer builds and sells the homes. Buyers pay for the design, the service standards and the brand name attached to the address.
Gurinder Bhatti, founder and managing director of GB Realty, said: "Punjab has always embraced a larger-than-life vision of living, and our ambition is to translate that spirit into residences with a distinctive identity. Our collaboration with Jacob and Co brings an international design perspective to the project, supported by GB Realty's development vision. Our planned investment of approximately Rs 2,400 to Rs 2,500 crore, including over Rs 1,000 crore for land, reflects our confidence in Tricity's potential and our commitment to creating a new benchmark for luxury living in North India."
Why the Jacob and Co Mohali site matters for Tricity buyers
The site sits on Mohali Airport Road, the corridor that links Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula and leads to Chandigarh International Airport. GB Realty is aiming the project at buyers in the Chandigarh-Mohali-Panchkula region, known as the Tricity, who want luxury homes with a distinct brand identity. The company said the Jacob and Co Mohali development will serve demand for distinctive luxury homes in that region.
GB Realty is a Chandigarh-headquartered luxury developer under the Optas Group, chaired by Gurinder Bhatti. Its flagship project is Opus One in Eco-City 2, New Chandigarh. The company has said it plans to invest more than Rs 5,000 crore over three years in luxury housing across North India, with a longer-term ambition of about Rs 10,000 crore over five years. The Jacob and Co Mohali project sits inside that expansion plan, and it is the company's first branded residences venture.
For now, GB Realty has given no launch date, price list, floor plan or possession timeline for the Jacob and Co Mohali project. Those details will come with a formal launch announcement, and buyers tracking the project will need that announcement before they can judge unit sizes or prices.
