Monday saw LK Advani discharged from the Delhi hospital after doctors confirmed he had recovered from a chest infection. The latest LK Advani health bulletin came on Monday morning, when Apollo Hospital said the 98-year-old leader, admitted late on Friday evening, had shown improvement in his medical condition and was fit to return home.
"Mr LK Advani, who was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on 16th October with a chest infection, is being discharged today. He has been under the care of Dr Vinit Suri, Senior Consultant – Neurology and has shown improvement in his medical status," the hospital said in a statement.
The hospital noted that Dr Vinit Suri, the neurologist overseeing his care, had also managed Advani's admission to the intensive care unit in December 2024, when the hospital said his condition was stable. Hospital officials said he responded well to treatment and required no emergency intervention during this stay, and was monitored through the weekend before doctors cleared the discharge on Monday.
